Ideal candidate:

We have been established for over 80 years and specialise in the design, manufacture and supply of workshop and vehicle equipment, with manufacturing facilities in the UK, Germany and Hungary and partner companies worldwide. Successful candidates will join a highly motivated team in a highly successful company and will be involved in delivering practical customer focused solutions using 3D design software.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Taking responsibility for projects from design to completion.
  • Designing new components and solutions for clients using AutoCAD (3D).
  • Specifying and procuring suitable ancillary items for installation as part of the conversion.
  • Attending client meetings - presenting design solutions to stakeholders for evaluation
  • Accurately recording installations and providing technical support to our sales and workshop teams.
  • Providing a list of components and labour requirements for final quotation
  • Previous experience using AutoCAD 3D or another 3D design modeling package
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • A flexible approach as this will involve working closely with our workshop and sales teams
  • A passion for delivering excellent customer service in a cost-effective way

CAD experience in the role is necessary, however full training will be given as to the nature of the products sold. Applicants must possess strong numeracy and Windows based computer skills with the ability to carry out tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail. A desire to constantly improve processes would be desirable. This is a great opportunity for someone to be part of a successful management team and work closely with active shareholders.

  • A minimum of 3-years proven track record of 2D & 3D CAD design.
  • An understanding of joinery would be useful and beneficial.
  • You will help to convert new prospects into clients whilst building long-lasting relationships.
  • The right person may have an established list of design and build related connections with whom they have previously worked.
  • Liaison with customer if required for clarification of drawings and requirements.
  • Liaise with manufacturing during the manufacturing stage to ensure that designs are accurately realized, and any design changes are captured.
  • Liaise with project managers and installation teams to fully understand the project requirements.
